Privacy policy

This is a courtesy translation. The legally binding version is the German Datenschutzerklärung. Where the two texts differ, the German wording applies.

This website is deliberately built to process as little data as possible: no cookies, no tracking, no analytics tools, no embedded third-party services, no fonts from external servers and no contact form. All fonts and images are stored on the same server as the site. When you open this page, your browser therefore makes no connection to any third party.

1. Controller

The controller for data processing on this website is:

Lian Sessinghaus
Sunderweg 26
58300 Wetter (Ruhr)
Germany
Phone: +49 152 04199197
Email: lian@sessinghaus-3d.de

2. Hosting and server log files

This website is hosted by STRATO GmbH, Otto-Ostrowski-Strasse 7, 10249 Berlin, Germany, which makes the site available on its servers. In doing so, the provider processes on my behalf the data that your browser transmits automatically when you open the page. The basis for this is a data processing agreement under Art. 28 GDPR.

The following is recorded in so-called server log files:

Purpose and legal basis: This data is technically necessary in order to deliver the page, to ensure its stability and security, and to be able to trace attacks. The legal basis is my legitimate interest in a secure and functioning web presence (Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR).

Storage period: Log files are deleted after seven days at the latest, unless they are exceptionally needed for longer in order to investigate a specific security incident. They are not combined with other data and are not used to create usage profiles.

3. Contact by email or phone

This website contains no contact form. If you write to me or call, I process the details you provide – usually your name, your email address or phone number and the content of your enquiry – solely in order to deal with your request.

Legal basis: Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR where your enquiry serves to initiate or perform a contract; otherwise my legitimate interest in answering enquiries (Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR).

Storage period: I delete enquiries once they have been dealt with, unless statutory retention obligations apply. Documents of fiscal or commercial relevance are subject to retention periods of six and ten years respectively (§ 147 AO, § 257 HGB).

Note on transmission: Unencrypted email can be read in transit. For confidential content, please get in touch – we will then find a secure route.

4. Encrypted transmission

This site is delivered over HTTPS (TLS). You can recognise this by the padlock symbol in your browser's address bar. The content you request therefore cannot be read by third parties in transit.

5. No cookies, no tracking, no external services

This website sets no cookies and stores nothing in your browser. There is no audience measurement, no profiling and no automated decision-making or profiling within the meaning of Art. 22 GDPR. Fonts, images and icons are loaded from the same server as the page. This is why the site needs no cookie notice.

6. Recipients of the data

Your data is passed on only to STRATO GmbH as a processor and – if you place an order – to the parties required to handle it, such as my tax adviser for bookkeeping purposes. No transfer takes place to countries outside the EU or the EEA.

7. Your rights

You have the right at any time to request:

An informal message to lian@sessinghaus-3d.de is enough for any of these.

8. Right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority

If you believe that the processing of your data infringes the GDPR, you may lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority (Art. 77 GDPR). The authority responsible for me is:

Landesbeauftragte für Datenschutz und Informationsfreiheit Nordrhein-Westfalen
Kavalleriestraße 2–4
40213 Düsseldorf
Germany

9. Changes to this policy

I will amend this policy when the site or the legal situation changes – for example if project images, an image gallery or a contact form are added later. The version published here is the one that applies.
